Billecart Salmon was the winner of the 'Champagne of the Millennium' tasting which was organised by Richard Juhlin in Sweden in 1999, with their 1959 Cuvee Nicolas Francois and came 2^nd with their 1961, beating all the other top vintages of the century such as 1964 Dom Perignon, 1961 Krug and 1952 Gosset.
