Malbec is Argentina's speciality, but can sometimes be quite chewy. Altosur is made from high altitude vineyards and has a freshness and energy not often found in South America. The fruit is rich and dark and there's a touch of spice on the finish. This wine, for its 2003 vintage, won the Decanter Malbec Trophy in 2005.
